Hmmmm. Maybe if I try this Bank it'll work |
A parting shot of Kilkenny. We had dinner at Kyteler's Inn where I enjoyed a glass of Smithwick's which is made in Kilkenny. It was the only brew I imbibed in the whole trip |
The next day we braved the Ring of Kerry |
We checked out the Staigue ring fort |
There were some great views at the top of the wall |
The wall was higher in some places |
The first telegraph that connected information from America to Europe came in here |
We had to wait a while to get this shot. The Skellig islands are in the background |
I'll never forget the ride we took up the one lane road that offered us this view |
We went to Skelligs Chocolate Co. after we made it over the single lane 50 degree road to celebrate surviving the drive |
The picture of the Skelligs Chocolate Co.sign was one of my favorites |
A view of the Skelligs |
The next two photographs are of the same view with different camera settings |
I wish I could remember how I did that |
We visited Sneem where we met Steve (Crusher) Casey |
Crusher was famous back in the day when wrestling was an actual sport. My father tells me he was well known and loved in Boston |
Sneem was an excellent stop at the end of our busy day. We bought salt and pepper shakers which we are currently using at Quill's and enjoyed an ice cream. |
Next we went to Kenmare. They also had a Quill's store |
We were searching for food and we felt like we were close |
We walked up and down the main street of Kenmare |
And we ended up back at The Horseshoe Pub |
This is the other main street in Kenmare |
I think the Quill's in Kenmare was bigger |
Kenmare was a fine looking town |
