We arrived at the Shannon Airport at dawn on 8/8/08 |
This was our first view of Adare where we stationed ourselves |
We attented a nice informational session about Ireland in the basement of the Adare Castle |
We called the end unit home for a week |
Our first trip was to the Cliffs of Moher
|
We smiled in the face of Extreme Danger! |
The fog departed just as we arrived |
Hey You! Can't you read the sign? |
We went to the Burren and for some reason I didn't take any pictures. There should be a nice picture of the Cafe we went to, or the museum that we visited right here. But alas, you'll have to take my word for it. |
We had a great dinner at O'Connor's Restaurant in Limmerick |
The next day we went to Dingle Town |
Dingle was a charming and colorful town on the Dingle Peninsula |
It was extremely colorful because the town was in some charming town contest and they decided to paint the town |
The plaque is interesting because the left date 1916 represented the year Ireland declared it's independence from England. The date on the right "19" was supposed to be filled in when Northern Ireland rejoined Southern Ireland. Obviously it was never filled in. |
Do they grow beer in the beer garden? And is that the best place to hold court? |
