We then took a harrowing ride on a bus up to Anacapri |
We went to the top of Mount Solare via a chair lift |
We had a great view of the Faragloioni Rocks |
We also had a pretty good view looking back to Sorrento |
We went to St. Micheal's Church which has a floor tiled with Adam and Eve being cast from the Garden of Eden |
Avel Munthe had one of the best views of Capri on Capri |
Avel's place is now open to the public for a mere 5 Euro so we had a peek at his view |
Next we headed to Capri Town |
This place was at the bend in the road that leads towards Giardini Augusto |
I liked imagining that this was some ancient Roman road that was used by Tiberius or Augustus |
We took the front car of the Funicular to get back to the harbor. We met the some people that we had seen on the bus ride up to Anacapri on the way down by coincidence |
Back in Sorrento we made note of the neverending Vespas |
As the sun sets on the lemon grove |
We made our way back to the shopping district |
This is the Sorrento's Men's Club. "Italians joke that Jesus must have been a southern Italian, because his mother believed her son was God, he believed his mom was a virgin, and he lived at home until he was 30" -Rick Steve's |
